What are Diamonds?
Diamonds are like tips or gifts that you can give to other creators out of appreciation for their content. When you give a diamond you are giving a portion of your coin to another creator.
You can give a diamond to any creator and the value of diamonds can vary. The smallest diamond value is $0.01 worth of your coin, and the largest is $851 of your coin.
It is really easy to give a diamond. All you have to do is click on the diamond button at the bottom of a post and you can choose one of the options on the value of the diamond.
Once you choose your position it will send the number of diamonds to the creator as an appreciative tip.
When you tip other creators it helps bring the community together. Feel free to go and give diamonds to some of the creators you like and think are valuable to the community.
How can I effectively give Diamonds?
There aren’t many criteria for why or when you should give out diamonds. It is your choice on when and why you should give creators a tip.
Most creators diamond others when they like, quote or comment on their content. In addition, when they enjoy reading the content on a profile they would most likely give diamonds.
The most common diamond sent is the one with the lowest value (~$0.01) but depending on the circumstances you may send more than that.
For example, if a whale posts about me I will probably give a higher level diamond for appreciation to that whale.
